I find the pattern inside the complexity, and make it clear enough to act on.
I operate at board and executive level as a fractional lead, advisor or NED. I work with organisations at moments of transition, helping them set the strategy, build shared responsibility, and embed it so it lasts.
What I do
If you don't have a strategy yet
You know it matters. You need the time, money or leadership attention to make it real. I help you build the case that gets it funded and backed by the people who can actually commit to it.
If you have a strategy that's stuck with one person
It sits on a desk, usually someone whose job title has “sustainability” or “environment” in it. Everyone else has moved on. I turn it into something the whole organisation runs, not one post-holder’s private project.
If you have a strategy and don't know whether it's working
Targets get set, then missed, and nobody’s held to account. I review what’s actually happening against what was promised, and tell you plainly where the gaps and next steps are.

Designed and launched the Chief Sustainability Officer’s Clinical Fellowship Scheme with FMLM.
Co-developed the world’s first net zero healthcare strategy at NHS England.
Built the NHS Sustainable Development Unit’s first national networks strategy.
Co-designed Green Impact for Health with the Royal College of GPs.
Designed and launched the Chief Sustainability Officer's Clinical Fellowship Scheme with FMLM.
Over 30 clinical alumni have influenced national health policy. Several now hold senior sustainability roles.
Co-developed the world's first net zero healthcare strategy at NHS England.
One of two leads who made the case for embedding sustainability in national health policy for the first time, then led initial development of three chapters of Delivering a Net Zero NHS.
Built the NHS Sustainable Development Unit's first national networks strategy.
Subsequently built on the networks by setting up the 7 regional teams. Then co-led Net Zero delivery in the Midlands.
Co-designed Green Impact for Health with the Royal College of GPs.
Now used by almost 2,000 GP practices, reaching 15m patients.
Where is the NHS now
Most of the regional infrastructure I helped build was dismantled in the 2025/26 restructure. Trusts and ICBs still carry statutory net zero regulations, but they are often lacking the oversight and connection to meet them.
